CSK vs SRH 29th Macth Who Will Win Today’s

Preview by Ghcalive Staff

Sunrisers Hyderabad haven’t exactly had the best of starts, despite being one of the strongest teams going into the competition. They had two losses to start their campaign, but two victories soon after seemed to set them on the right path. However, a second defeat soon followed, this time at home against the Mumbai Indians, bringing the total to three defeats in a row. Even though it’s not ideal, a big victory at a place where few visiting teams triumph would help them get their campaign back on track. Even though SRH has never triumphed in Chepauk, the opposition rarely triumphs here. However, contrary to what Rajasthan Royals shown a few days before, it is not insurmountable.

A victory for the visitors cannot be ruled out based on the current trend in the present edition, which has seen away sides win eight of the last 10 games. SRH has the bowlers to cause trouble in local boy Washington Sundar, in-form Mayank Markande, and foreign recruits Adil Rashid and Akeal Hosein. SRH has players like Mayank Agarwal, Rahul Tripathi, Abhishek Sharma, and Aiden Markram to respond if Chepauk does deliver a turner. These contests, however, might be decided by a toss if the pitch is loaded with runs.

Comparatively speaking to their opponents, CSK has been in quite decent batting form. This season, they have already crossed the 200-point threshold twice; the most recent was on Monday, April 17, at Bangalore. Despite a great start, Ruturaj Gaikwad hasn’t joined the fun in the last two games; nevertheless, if he gets back in the runs, that batting unit has the potential to cause total mayhem. Tushar Deshpande is finding his strides after an uneven start, and the home side appears to have found someone to rely on at the end in Matheesha Pathirana. History and form guide towards CSK, but SRH has everything it takes to emulate the Rajasthan Royals model.

When : April 21 at 19:30 IST

Where : MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai

PITCH REPORT

The two matches played at the MA Chidambaram to date have been high-scoring affairs that the team batting first has won. This pattern might continue in this game as well. Both teams have strong batting units, thus the game might be high scoring. In the last five T20 games, nearly 160 runs have been scored on average in the first inning.

What to expect: n the two games played here so far, there have been a lot of runs. The RR fixture’s surface did, however, make some turn.

Team Watch

Chennai Super Kings

Ben Stokes had the groundsmen on their toes by absolutely hammering it in the nets a day before the game. He seems prepared. But who may he now be able to replace? Devon Conway has participated in several runs. Matheesha Pathirana and Mahesh Theekshana are unquestionably needed by CSK. Moeen Ali might move to the side if the pitch is in fact fairly flat. Otherwise, CSK might continue using the same lineup.

Matchups & Tactics: CSK are aware of Harry Brook’s potential for harm. But in his first IPL season, he has also had trouble scoring against spin. CSK may benefit from a powerplay matchup with Theekshana in order to eliminate the threat quickly.

Probable XI: Devon Conway, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube, Moeen Ali/Ben Stokes, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (C&WK), Tushar Deshpande, Maheesh Theekshana, Matheesha Pathirana, Akash Singh

Sunrisers Hyderabad

A few changes could be prompted by the surface. In the previous game at this location, the Rajasthan Royals spin trio excelled. Because of this, SRH might be forced to replace Marco Jansen with Adil Rashid or Akeal Hosein again.

Strategies & Matches: Although Bhuvneshwar’s abilities may appear to be waning, he still has a decent track record against all except Dhoni of the CSK batsmen. A left-heavy batting lineup will advantage the visitors due to Washington’s economy rate of 6.33 over the last four years against left-handers.

Probable XI: Harry Brook, Mayank Agarwal, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram (C), Abhishek Sharma, Heinrich Klaasen (WK), Washington Sundar, Adil Rashid/Akeal Hosein, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Mayank Markande

Have you heard:

Since 2022, Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen, a South African combination for SRH, have averaged close to 40 with a strike rate over 140 in T20 cricket.

The highest powerplay strike rate of any batsman in the IPL this season (minimum 50 runs) is 222.22 by Ajinkya Rahane.

How they spoke

I’m not entirely certain yet. Of course, we just arrived yesterday, and we’re only now getting to the pitch. We will now examine the pitch, and if it appears like it will spin, it would be foolish not to search for another spinner that we can use. So, after evaluating the circumstances and looking back at the prior games, we’ll see which 11 or 12 we may choose. – SRH skipper Aiden Markram on whether or not to start a third spinner.
