CSK’s Deepak Chahar will miss the whole IPL 2022 season.

Deepak Chahar, an Indian all-round bowler who cost Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Rs 14 crore at the mega auction, may not play in the 15th season of the league due to a recent hamstring injury.

Deepak Chahar was forced to leave the pitch during India’s third and final T20I match against West Indies on Sunday (20 February) due to a right quadriceps injury. He was also unable to play in the present T20I series against Sri Lanka. According to a source, Deepak Chahar may not be able to play in this year’s IPL because of the severity of his injuries. Brijesh Patel, the chairman of the IPL, made the cash-rich league’s dates official on Thursday at the governing council meeting. It will take place between March 26 and May 29.

His injuries appears severe. For all you know, he might not even be playing in the IPL, the insider told TOI. Deepak Chahar was the second most expensive player selected at the mega auction behind Ishan Kishan, thus if he is indeed unable to compete, it will be a major setback for CSK.
