SRH vs LSG 58th Macth Who Will Win Today’s?

Preview by Ghcalive Staff

In what has to be the most competitive IPL season ever, we have completed 80% of the league stages, with all 10 clubs still in the running for the playoffs. All of the other teams, with the exception of Gujarat Titans, are contending for postseason places. Two of these squads, both at the opposite ends of the form and momentum spectrum, are ready to face off, and the victor will likely be sent packing.

Four victories in their first six games gave the Lucknow Super Giants a promising start to the season, but they have subsequently faltered. They have presently lost three games and drawn one, going four games without a win. Despite the arsenal of weaponry they still possess, losing regular skipper KL Rahul to injury has not helped, and they now appear to be weak.

Frequently, the Sunrisers Hyderabad are more mentally strong. They lost five of their first seven games, but since then, they’ve won two of three, including a stunning heist against the Rajasthan Royals. SRH still retains control over their own course of events, despite their history of tactical and starting XI blunders.

Since Rahul no longer provides the steadiness at the top of the batting lineup, it is uncertain how much his absence will impact LSG, even though they seem to be a well-rounded club with most bases covered. Nevertheless, Lucknow has a lot of firepower, and this, together with a potent bowling team, makes them a very challenging opponent to play.

When it comes to their batting lineup, SRH is mostly reliant on foreign players, although players like Rahul Tripathi and Abhishek Sharma have also made their presence known. Unexpectedly, the bowling hasn’t been as effective as they would have wanted, and the hosts’ work is made difficult by an intimidating LSG batting lineup. It doesn’t get much better than two teams in extreme need of victory.

When: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Lucknow Supergiants, IPL 2023, May 13, 15:30 IST

Where: Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad

What to anticipate: The recent hot weather in Hyderabad is expected to continue over the weekend, with Saturday afternoon likely to be no exception. The surfaces here have yielded a variety of results this season. Despite the fact that the average score while batting first is roughly 171, two of the five games had scores below 150. Rajasthan scored 203 in the previous game, which also served as this venue’s first game and the second day game of the season. Another excellent batting surface should be available soon, but it could be a little slower given how much cricket has been played and the heat.

Strategy & Match: In the IPL, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has routinely kept the explosive Quinton de Kock on a tight leash, so he may have the early advantage for SRH. The South African was hit by 52 balls from Bhuvneshwar, but he still managed to score 49 runs and hold onto his wicket.

Probable XI: Abhishek Sharma, Anmolpreet Singh/Mayank Agarwal, Aiden Markram(c), Heinrich Klaasen(wk), Glenn Phillips, Abdul Samad, Vivrant Sharma, Marco Jansen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mayank Markhande, T Natarajan
